Medium: Oil and Cold Wax  

Skill Level: This workshop is ideal for artists new to Cold Wax Medium, as well as those looking to elevate their existing skills.

Workshop Description:

Participants will explore the unique techniques of painting with oil and cold wax, creating stunning abstracts and seascapes rich with texture, layers, and marks that only this medium can achieve. Through a series of warm-up exercises, students will build their confidence, setting the stage for unleashing their creativity and diving into a world of infinite possibilities with cold wax.

In this mixed media fabric collage class, students will create a fabric collage using painted fabric, fibers, and embroidery thread.

Participants will be introduced to a variety of hand-painted and printed fabric techniques to integrate into their artwork. Students will also learn embroidery stitches to use as mark-making to embellish their collage designs, along with different types of embroidery needles and threads. An emphasis on color harmony and composition will be explored while creating our artwork.
